1lb brussel sprouts
1tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 tsp fresh crushed black pepper
½ tsp smoked paprika
4oz prosciutto, cubed or sliced (optional)
1. Preheat oven to 350F
2. Wash and dry brussel sprouts in salad spinner if available, trim ends and chop into thirds for average sized sprouts, into halves for baby sprouts
3. Spread onto baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with salt, pepper, paprika and any other spices you care to experiment with. Fresh oregano and minced garlic work very well when added to the sprouts pre-roasting.
4. Roast in oven until sprouts are getting golden brown, about 10-15 minutes depending on thickness.
5. Add in diced prosciutto or other cured/smoked meat. Also try diced smoked gouda instead of or in addition to prosciutto. The flavor is really da bomb.
